What is it?
Soy isoflavones belong to a class of plant-based compounds known as phytoestrogens. Soy isoflavones occur naturally in soybeans and can be found in several soy-based foods such as miso, soy sauce, tofu, edamame, soy milk and soy butter. Researchers have found that these compounds may have some health benefits, particularly for women, and continue to study soy isoflavones for other health benefits.
What are the benefits?
Phyto-Soy® is a standardised powdered soy, rich in the most important isoflavones studied in recent scientific research. Soya is in great demand because of its healthful benefits for the immune, glandular, and circulatory systems. Evidence continues to mount supporting the protective benefits of high levels of genistein, a isoflavonoid found in soya. For maximum effectiveness, Nature’s Sunshine’s Phyto-Soy is certified as a non-genetically modified organism, and contains a mixture of isoflavones: genistein, daidzein, and glycitein. These phytonutrients are linked to the positive effects of soy based diets. Phyto-Soy contains 48 times more isoflavonoids than comparable amounts of tofu, 25 times more than tempeh, and 10 times more than roasted soya beans.
Ingredients: soy isoflavones, bulking agent; cellulose, anti-caking agents; silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. Capsule shell (gelatin, water).
Allergy advice: contains ingredients derived from soya beans.
Recommendation: Take one capsule with a meal three times daily.
Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
Three capsules contain: Soy bean extract (standardised to 10%, 36 mg isoflavones).
