But what is mucilage? All plants produce mucilage in some form to store water and as a food reserve, for seed dispersal and germination, and as a membrane thickener. Mucilage absorbs water and becomes slippery and when this happens it can help soothe and protect irritated tissues within the body.

What are saponins? Saponins are chemical compounds found in plants that are known to help make coughs more productive by loosening phlegm from the throat and chest.

Ingredients: Mullein leaf (Verbascum thapsus), capsule shell (gelatin, water).

Recommendation: Take two tablets with a meal twice daily.

Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Each four capsules contain: Mullein leaf 1160 mg.
